What are you onto? What is your focus?
Man I got to tell you Monday was a well experienced thing for me and learning quite a bit for my brother was very interesting. We both are sports fans so we heard Bill Belichick's usual phrase, "We are onto Seattle", or we are on to Tennessee, or we are onto Philadelphia. Well the analogy of the situation is what are you focused on what is the eye really on, the prize or the problem in front of you. Or the distraction or even the noise that is distracted you from the main focus. Or even the prize you are fighting towards. For myself I struggle with dealing with silly problems that can be dismissed or even dealing with and a more compatible way, and the problem is trying to not take it seriously by seeing where my stage of life is, and even how to face the problem and deal with it and let it pass by.
So to begin explaining what it means to focus on the situation set at hand. Bill Belichick had strong focus and understood what it means to accomplish and what it means to be successful. The understanding is that whatever is going on in the media especially where they talk about questions that had nothing to do with what it means to be prepared for the game. What it means to stay focused until the after seasons, or even after the game as well. I could say the problem with myself and what I need to learn is understand and focus on what is in front of you instead of looking past the situation, and to be honest I am very fragile to those sensitive situations, and apparently I get easily distracted, so learning this, and seeing what Bill does is quite interesting and it is really about getting down to serious business where you focus on whats 1st instead of after that.
Let's play a little "What If" story, just have a little fun with it, let's say Bill Belichick was the coach of the Vikings and he was doing a press conference and presses were asking questions on how does it feel to have the chance to be the 1st host to host the Superbowl well the first thing I'm sure he will say is that we are onto Philadelphia. And I'm sure the Vikings, well the players on the team was excited about having the chance to be the host of the Superbowl, well basically getting distracted by the hype. And on top of that the game against the Eagles when they brutally served the beat down against the Vikings where the Vikings had their chance to be the host of the Superbowl. Basically there are different way the coach focus and prepares for the task at hand and yeah apparently Bill Belichick who was mentored by Bill Parcels learned how to keep focus and the fact that Belichick took it to another level is quite interesting.
Planning and preparation takes a lot of focus and focus can lead to accomplishing what is in front of you and then leading to the next task you have been fighting for. The experts or even masters show how much it is important to focus on the real task and understanding. It takes alot of work and learning from my brother where he learns how to make the unaffected problems that don't affect the real task at hand unless you let it prevail against you and the distraction ends up consuming you, I try to avoid distractions and then do my best to let it go and try to avoid the habit of being caught up in the drama in any way.
