Motivational Monday #3: Laser Focus Monday part 2
Monday is a big work day and there are always ways to prove somebody wrong, somebody always wants to prove somebody wrong even if it sounds silly. One of the person who was willing to prove them wrong with determination and focus was Tom Brady. Tom Brady was the biggest overlooked quarterback in the 2000 draft. He had poor reviews before debuting in the NFL, like for example, "He lacked speed, and is very skinny, lacks strength and mobility etc." Tom Brady himself even explained how he was not a top recruit or a huge prospect he showed how he had to earn it. Tom Brady even had doubts where he thought he wasn't going to get drafted, and he decided to prepare to play baseball, as he was swinging the bat. And then he found out he was drafted and especially it was such awesome luck but it wasn't really luck it was turned into such an awesome privilege, and into a great big reward. Basically all the doubts and the harsh criticism that he faced and even the self criticism that he faced he turned that all into fuel to make him great and prove the doubters wrong by action. On top of that he eventually believed in himself and even started to work harder and even was able to work well with the great coach.
Look into his journey and I am going to probably explain again when you feel like it is over and a lot of people were despondent, but when you have control and have the power to lead and have the knowledge to get people out of a hole, and even the experience as well. Tom Brady was basically rallying his team and said the big quote "LASER FOCUS" Laser Focus was one of the biggest quotes to find out how he proved people wrong, and even pulled the fans in back in the game it did took a load of great leadership and even confidence too, and disconnecting yourself from all the negativity. How Tom separated himself from all the other quarterbacks was how he stayed confidence and was very resilient on a consistent level and never stayed down and out, and even on losses, and even on devastating loss he stayed strong and continued to rebound in such great fashion as well.
To repeat again the Laser Focus situation, all the outside adversity he has faced off the field basically facing a trial regarding the deflate gate, where he was suspended 4 games and even all the hate he had faced on top of that from anti Patriot fans and even the adversity from the commissioner Roger Goodell. Tom Brady was resilient in fighting the suspension but however eventually down the road he had to serve the suspension, as the rest of the team had to face other repercussion as well that would affect the draft. So even when he falsely or maybe truly had to battle the court and the NFL about the deflate-gate and had to face all the hoopla, he had to over come all that adversity, and the way he shook off the adversity was to play harder and more motivated and more determined as well. There were benefits from Tom Brady serving the suspensions, which were the backup quarterbacks handed them 3 wins and The injury Grarappolo suffered could've been Tom Brady but I digress though it just really though that Tom Brady fueled himself from the adversity which was play harder and stayed focused on the goal and do not look back on what held you back and what happened before and just focus on the holy grail, and let the fans hate the commissioner for the wrongful accusations.
I brought all that stuff because the question and the real question is how are you overcoming your adversity? How are you going to fight back? and How are you going to Prove people wrong at your job or wherever? Is it through action or complaining or even through emotion? Because the one big thing I really learn is to stay determined and fuel yourself through focus and even action because if you do there will be a lot more accomplishments to come that you may never know may come. And that is what happened with Tom Brady and even letting his actions defend him through doubt. A lot of great things can happen with one of the biggest quotes which is "LASER FOCUS" And oh though avoiding panicking and even avoid doubting and feeling despondent.
